Last night i dreamt that dickson
updated his blog
so this morn when i woke up i went to check and his
last post is still 13 months old.
so much for my dreams seeming real.
went to buy roti prata today and had an intriguing conversation.
stall owner: How many you want?
me: uncle, 2 plain prata packet. can fry with more oil?
stall owner: boy you sure anot? very unhealthy like that.
me: yes uncle i want a bit crispier and food therapy ah.
disgusted look on his face.
stall owner: okay finished, what curry you want? fish? mutton?
me: uncle don't want the curry lah, got coconut milk, very unhealthy.
stall owner: erh...okay..
so that adds one more person in this world who thinks i'm an idiot.
woo hoo.

Yesterday Justin decided to
torture us and put us through
120 beats per second for 6 whole minutes until we were
almost dying and ready to give up.
i think he wants us to die young of an overdose of adrenaline.
barely could breathe after the whole thing.
an earthquake hit singapore yesterday,
which explains why we both couldn't do our spins in a straight line.
i'm so glad to have an excuse for our dismal performance.
having my major ISAT exams on thursday so keep me in prayer ya?
and timo, i wanna go diving too then cos it sounds cool
but my mom thinks that the earthquakes are gonna cause tsunamis.
she just called me to in short, stay on the roof of the building
the whole of today. i'll prob get struck by lightning and die.
maybe that's what she wants.

so the competition concluded and
i got only about 200 plus dollars.
quite screwed up so i won't go and buy my crumpler and i'll
prob take up ying's bang joke of buying a bag and crumpling it.
like ha ha ha ha to that and i can just picture bang laughing
his guts out at that joke. it's so bang-ish don't you think.
went to xen and found out tt agnez had worked her charm and
managed to convince a total stranger she just knew for a few
hours to come learn salsa which is quite powerful of her.
Apparently it's because he knows me that's why he came.
like fun it is. i don't even know how to spell his name.
but he didn't look like he enjoyed it alot but it's his
first lesson and all of us looked like wooden planks
with pirates pushing crews off into the shark-infested waters,
when dancing our first lesson too.
but he got the enchufla and i think it's quite gd.
so we practiced and then we had a nice mini competition
between porshee and ying, and me and agnez.
it was a total contrast of styles becos pors' is cuban
whilst ours were LA but we both agreed when dancing,
that porshee and ying looked quite compatible as a couple
dancing becos they move alot by themselves while
for us, xen style means we move more accurately in a line.
anyway in the end it turned out to be a madhouse of moves
and we kept banging into them becos they kept cutting
into our space.. but it was really fun but we need
to work on a nice ending move which porshee keeps
trying to perfect.

later chionged over to xen and learnt a totally new routine.
agnes and i went through it and wrote it down!!
we've decided that we shall forget no more routines
and from now on, we'll do records and print it out.
which just means that i'll be doing the writing since
guys do the leading...oh well..the price to pay....
anyway during xen found out that my team lost the 2nd game
so now i'm quite pissed abt that. i want my money!!!!!!
hahahha...oh well....i guess we're not good enough. haha.
really enjoyed xen today though, i think maybe next time i'll
go down on fris instead of wednesdays cos i think i learn better.
I wanna watch stage beauty and woodsman!!!!!!

Went soccering for the first
time in like a million years
and came out of it with a nice slightly twisted ankle.
but it was really great because i drank 3 cups of sugarcane juice
from 3 different stalls in the taman jurong market.
I thought my leg was bad enough then after going to xen
my leg got stepped on again during the 1 hour correctional therapy
under james our shi fu who kept shaking his head during the prac.
That was demoralising but i think we learnt something new and
did improve. Porshee was the stylist again today and kenneth
isn't as good a dancer as what Hui ying says.
but still better than me so well....
but i understand her feelings since he's porshee's fren
and you know what they say about Ai4 wu1 ji2 Wu1
which translates roughly into love house and crow.
which makes absolutely no sense in english but nothing
does anyway when translated into english nowadays.

I made a discovery today about
life.
Primary 5 school kids are about the most hyper
and most knowledgeable beings on the human anatomy.
My tutees were absolutely jumping around and walking
me dizzy in circles around the rectangular table.
Yes that's how powerful they are, they make a rectangular
table seem round at the rate they move about.
So there i was trying to fit my handwriting to look perpendicular
to where i was sitting and having to shift the paper 360 degrees
all the time so much that it looked like an uzumaki equation
by the time i was done explaining question one.
Then they were telling me about the birds and the bees
as though they were giving me biology lessons.
I never knew that pri 5 girls and boys could be so
unabashed at talking about sex.
but being the mature and intellectual person there,
i had to resort to telling them about my spongebob squarepants
experience to get them to pay attention to my lessons.
later went to xen and got told off a bit by justin for
not doing our first 100 slow practices, then the next 1000
fast routines before we actually started experimenting.
Agnes was of the opinion that he was very angry with us,
but i'm not good at reading people so there.
found out that Hui Ying scratched her bum and she thinks
she can't get married now that her ass is scarred for life.
Personally the only reason that i can even think of why
marriages are called off because of asses are due to
the number of Donkeys in the wedding dowry that are lacking.
but then again with pri 5 kids like that, i'm very sure
there are indeed some grooms who go around looking for
explicit details of one's butts to see if it's perfect.
Of course i have a nice butt which is of great envy to
you people out there, it comes from taking loads of Po Chai pills.
anyway i'm sure the wounds will heal over time so don't cry too
much about it. if in any case they don't heal, the very most you
just won't be able to wear the bikini then.
which is also quite weird why girls want bikinis so badly as gifts.
you'd think that giving such stuff would give the wrong message,
but no....actually all girls want bikinis.
and i can just sense mugger bang running to the nearest swimwear stop
right now to get a hot pink bikini for *Cough*
anyway tmr there's soccer so i'll better turn in for the night.

I so totally suck at leading cos
porshee says
that to be good at leading you must be able to
make any girl follow whatever you're doing even though
they have never danced it before.
and i so can't lead some people so that makes me terrible.

Yesterday was almost a reunion
just without jasper and zy.
Yesterday was also the day when we realised that we've
been doing everything wrong again.
Yen qing was correcting our basic step then after that
our grips and my leading and agnes' following
and basically everything that could be wrong was wrong.
very demoralised at that so we spent like 30 minutes of social dance
just to practise the simple turn and CBLT until we could get the gist of it.
In the end I spun her 10 times and twice anti clockwise for the anti momentum.
and we only managed to do 3 properly. man it is tough.
later I saw this amazing phenomenon whereby when a couple is feeling hot,
they connect their heads so very tenderly to touch at the temples
and lean against each other. don't need to pretend lah bang.haha
Then everyone saw how PorShee danced and his styling is incredible.
I want to learn his styling and he still says he's damn lousy.
Another humble guy out there....and a jealous girl. heh
Talked to Justin and he told us that we have potential.
I guess he could tell from the 10 out of 10 times we couldn't execute
a proper CBLT and simple turns.
later i realised that the only thing that we can do a bit well is the
monday performance class thing and that's about it.
more practice is definitely needed!!!!!!!!!!
got an interesting offer from Justin and should we take it up??????
I really don;t know because i don't see how we can match those pros??
especially when they are the 1992 dance champs and stuff and SEA pros.
But i guess it's a good opportunity to learn.
just wonder when it'll be.
should be meeting Porshee later to go jitters and see Luther dance.
Now he's one real talented dancer :)

Saw Yen Qing's video yesterday and i'm totally in awe.
I think i'll be able to retire by the time i can do what
they were doing on it.

Million Dollar Baby was an
incredibly sad show.
Why would anyone die such a horrible death.....
grrrrhhhhhh.....congrats to bang for achieving what
he thought was impossible for the past 19 years.
And tmr the original salsa gang will be going Xen!!
Finally they see the light :)
and i learnt how to eat a subway sandwich without spilling its contents :)

Performance class was fun and
now i've learnt the ancient
art of bending your body to form a teapot.
Next week i think we're going to learn to sing the
"I'm a little teapot" song together with all the actions.
but really it was quite enjoyable and we learnt this damn cool moves.
thanks to the nice helpful guys over there at xen,
i managed to learn how not to twist my arm doing the
hybrid of CBL and CBLTs.
Then there was this pro guy who kept telling me to stay closer
to my partner when doing the back to back thing and a body wave.
For everyone there was so so pro already!!!!
But they're so so helpful to us newbies.
before we left, our friend whom we still don't know the name of,
came up to us and taught us a few more moves and helped correct
the stuff that we did wrongly.
Bought chrysantheum and ginseng instead of the traditional
water chestnut and i'm proud to say that my choice of drinks
is once again good. talk about ping2 gan3 jue2. haha
found out that xen is incredibly near to PS which is quite amazing
because i always thought that chinatown was somewhere ulu-ated.
yah lah....your sense of direction is good lah...hahahaha..
anyways today the recruits are graduating from BMT and hurrah to me.
This island will stop reeking of unwashed clothes and BO for 2 days.
Then the next batch will come in and i'll hafta remove my nose.
Had a very weird dream that Michael Jackson got 9 years in jail.
I was incredibly disappointed. I think he'd enjoy it in there.
And yes TM now i know you read my blog so i can't write stuffs about you
and *cough* or about bang and *cough*.
That is sure to put me off my freedom of speech.
and no bang, i didn't pang seh you all. I will continue with
you guys if you all come and join xen bar,

Today was exhausting but very
satisfiying since i managed
to learn so many many many dances at jitterbugs.
It was really fun and met Por shee whom i've not seen
since like the dogs could fly and sheep could baa.
Then we learnt rueda which i want to learn alot,
merengue which we could finally do the stuffs that
Gupson Pierre was telling us to do,
though i;m still confused as to which hip belongs to which
side of my body right now. Reminds me of a bio diagram.
then i did tap dancing under Por shee's recommendation
and man is it cool. though my court shoes weren't really
making a whole load of noise but the moves were fun.
had a back ache and went to xen after that to do basic.
tried to recap on what agnes and i forgot on tues and wed,
managed to remember bits and pieces,
which incidentally is a nice earring shop,
but that's not the point.
I like dickson, and i don't mean that dickson.
I mean dickson the instructor at xen.
Really understood everything he threw at us and
managed to get in some practice.
Ying wanted to kill me for spinning her a mere 3 times in succession.
I pointed out that on other days everyone could do 5,
but neglected to mention they were all quite pro :P
managed to learn the CBL move with both hands that
i wanted to learn for donkey years.
Had alot of fun since the class today wasn't really very full.
I can't wait for the following sunday again.
tommorrow's the performance class plus the rueda class.
and i won't be getting any sleep at all today.
I guess i'll be a zombie.

Today was intermediate 2 and it
was really fun.
i prefer the instructor today who teaches at a slower pace.
and doesn't expect us to be able to dance at 100 beats per minute.
learnt shining and a few nice steps today which i forgot since
i had no chance to practise after class.
hopefully i'll have a chance to practice next time.
but today was really fun and got to see some really cool
moves by this real pro red shirt guy who can really really lead.
i can only like hope to be as good as him.
but that means i need loads of practice but i'm not getting
that during lessons at xen becos basically what we do is
learn new stuff all the time and never get to practice it.
but when???????? arghh!! i need to practise!!!!
saw my first rueda and now i wanna take that up too.
managed to do my first double turn and suzie Q!!!!
i like salsa!!!! wanna head down this friday but becos of xxx

signed up for a course at xen
bar and i'm still wondering if
i actually made the right choice.
i mean it's good if you really want to improve,
but not if you just want to have loads of fun.
but i guess if i learn very hard then i can have alot of fun.
tried a whole sequence of difficult moves today and i almost
twisted my hand. realised that i have to unlearn almost everything
i learnt from XXX if i want to excel at salsa.
it'll be worth it in the long run i can foresee.
that is if i can stand the long training hours.
but i still like salsa. don't know whether i'll be
able to continue it now though. having serious doubts in
my ability to actually do it and go through the whole thing.
plus the whole total other problem that i have to deal with.
and my mom thinks i'm doing something else behind her back. XXX
Should i carry on doing this
over and over again?
i don't really know. for now i'll try to continue and hope for the best :)
